The website is run by staff of the IT Services Department. It is devoted to IT support related to university IT systems, software, as well as network and server services.
The following categories offer answers to the most frequently asked questions.

We answer calls from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

due to numerous problems with phishing, spam and e-mail security, I would like to encourage you to use your university e-mail address.

Benefits of having an account on university e-mail server:

  • secure mailbox in a trusted domain;
  • fast communication via e-mail within the Jagiellonian University;
  • access to Microsoft's cloud services, including Office365 online;
  • access to university Wi-Fi network (UJ_WiFi, eduroam);
  • remote access to digital resources of the Jagiellonian Library;
  • access to the LEX Intranet database (limited number of licenses);
  • access to the software made available under the licence agreements purchased by the Jagiellonian University;
  • easier access to the USOSweb service;
  • access to the UJ e-learning platform;

Step I

If you are a staff member employed on the basis of an employment contract:

 

  1. You will receive a confirmation of the activation of your e-mail account.
    After concluding the contract, you will receive a letter informing you about the activation of a staff e-mail account in the uj.edu.pl domain.

  2. Get a temporary password to your e-mail account..
    Now all you need to do is pick up your temporary password at one of the following locations - list

  3. Change your password and set up an emergency number.
    After receiving your password, log in to the Personal Identity Profile and do the following:
    • change the password in line with the - password change procedure
    • Add your mobile phone number and you will be able to reset a forgotten password yourself. This number will be used for SMS codes. - procedure

If you are a staff member employed on the basis of a civil-law contract

  1. After signing the contract:
    When the contract is signed, it should be sent immediately to the Department of Human Resources. Once you have received confirmation that the contract has been registered in SAP, please contact IT Helpdesk to activate your email account.

  2. Get a temporary password to your e-mail account..

Step II

First login.

  1. First login into your e-mail account.
    during the first login to the e-mail account at owa.uj.edu.pl, you will be able to choose your preferred language and time zone, the choice of which will affect the dates of sending / receiving e-mails. The correct setting is “(UTC+01:00) Sarajevo, Skopje, Warsaw, Zagreb.” More information about the e-mail account can be found at www.pomocit.uj.edu.pl/poczta_pracownicy

  2. Activate access to the Information Portal.
    Information Portal offers you access to procedures and human resources data such as:
    • start and end dates of your employment contract
    • your position
    • phone number
    • absence limits
    • submission of holiday applications
    • submission of applications for official domestic trips
    • current and archived salary slips
    In order to gain access to the Information Portal, you need to perform - the password recovery procedure

  3. Configure your local e-mail client.
    You can use your university e-mail address with any e-mail client. The relevant instructions can be found on our website at - https://pomocit.uj.edu.pl/poczta_pracownicy

  4. Join the UJ_WiFi or eduroam network.
    All employees with an active email account are eligible to use the university's Wi-Fi network. For more information, please visit our website - https://pomocit.uj.edu.pl/wifiuj

  5. Use Microsoft's cloud services.
    Jagiellonian University staff can use cloud services offered by Microsoft. These services are available after logging in at https://login.microsoftonline.com where you may use OneDrive cloud drive, Office 365 Online, SharePoint and other solutions.
